Extensions for Outside the Classroom
In order to become more fluent in French, it is important that we expose our students as much as possible to the French language. There are many things you can do at home to strengthen your child’s learning.
• Encourage them to watch a movie in French! Many DVDs include French language versions.
• Watch French TV - the TFO television channel is a good option.
• And let’s not forget to read! The Mississauga Central Library has a great French book selection that is available to students.
• Use the Internet - The following are useful websites for access to games, activities, dictionaries and grammar concepts.
